Founded in 1810 for the manufacture of pottery fittings for shuttles and textile machinery, the Wade Group, comprising six manufacturing units, now produce a wide variety of ceramic products, including tableware, tiles, tiled fireplaces, electrical porcelain, industrial ceramic and a range of ornamental pottery.  Employing fifteen hundred workpeople, the firm, during its long span of years, have accumulated a substantial reservoir of practical experience and even more important – mutual respect and esteem between management and operatives.

Each factory in the Group employs the most modern equipment and manufacturing methods.  In total, nine continuous tunnel ovens are in operation, fired by gas, electricity and oil.

The company throughout its existence has always been in the forefront in developing ceramics for domestic and industrial uses.

​

This foresighted policy of development is evidenced by the decision to purchase additional land adjoining the factory for future expansion.
